"Edumacational"
How awesome!
I wonder what wouldthe assistance ration will be?
People at this UK university are probably not worried about their 7 or 8 am class...sincethey will be able to miss it and still be able to listen to whatever lecture was given.
There are many who say "no" to this educational tool...but I say yes; because after all, our generation is pretty anti-social anyway. Otherwise ask all those who listen to their ipod 24-7.

It would be interesting to get other people's views on this because we plan to test run podcasting in this course later in the semester.
In Singapore, students were able to receive and watch lectures using their mobile phones (a very advanced technological society) and could even text message professors during class to ask a question or query a comment. The text would show up on the lecture console and the professor would monitor the comments and respond where necessary.
What advantages or disadvantages could such a system have for both students and instructors?
